Immediate Repair of a Fractured Mandibular Incisor: Case Report
Croll, Theodore P. / Jefferies, Steven R.
Fractured permanent incisors in children pose difficult clinical challenges for dentists. Important treatment decisions need to address appearance concerns, endodontic implications, and short- and long-term restorative considerations. This case report describes immediate emergency care for a teenager who suffered a fractured permanent mandibular incisor followed by full coronal restoration using nanofilled resin-based composite. The treatment result, including endodontic therapy subsequent to additional trauma, is shown 20 months postoperatively.
